Insurance policy: make sure you get your yearly statement

Just reminder, semalam kami (me & hubby) di debarkan sehingga kami rasa tak boleh duduk diam, nak balik ghumah cepat nak tengok balik file & policy no. for our self insurance policy yang dibeli on year 2007.
Hubby call ING, mintak yearly statement sebab dah lama tak dapat or tak pernah dapat, tetiba dijawap oleh customer service tu insurance policy kami never exist/not exist. Walhal every single month for many donkey year kami buat standing instruction (SI) form my hubby credit card. So where is the hell of the money goes if the policy not exist? wah wah wah debor giler sebab berapa riban dah kami bayar, berapa banyak dividen/interest kalau kami labur kan duit tu.

Okey, mesti ada yang tertanya...kenapa & bagaimana tetiba hubby terdetik nak make call to ING tentang yearly statement tu kan. Puncanya kami baru2 ni terminate monthly donation to UNICEF. As you all may know, kita boleh donate kepada UNICEF setiap bulan melalui potongan/SI credit card & they said they will sent the statement yearly for tax deduction. Tapi rupanya kalau kita tak call mintak statement, depa tak sent pun. Cakap ajew bunga2 wangi2 masa mintak donation. So lepas call & terminate donation (after a year donation) hubby call pulak Palace of the Golden Horses tempat hubby buat fully medical checkup bulan lepas. Pun sama, katanya everymonth fees yang kami bayar, mereka akan hantar statement, tapi masih tak hantar, macam biasa kene follow up baru nak sent. Ini pun digunakan untuk tax deduction.
So dengan tak semena2 hubby teringatkan our insurance policy with ING yang kami beli since 2007, masa tu masih bekerja di SCM company lama kami. Kami beli as employee so monthly fees dia lebih murah dari orang luar beli. Contohnya you paid RM50 a month for 50k coverange, kalau GE, you paid RM50 a month you baru dapat 25k coverage. Kami beli addtional dari what company provided. Kami beli extra medical plan & insurance. Tapi medical plan tu kami cancel on year 2010 (tapi recently rasa menyesal pulak cancel sebab cost kemasukkan & rawatan di hospital swasta semakin meningkat, nak harap kan medical company for normal sickness boleh la,,,,).
So berbalik kepada cerita insurance tadi, bila hubby call customer service bertanyakan statement policy insurance kami (my policy paid by my hubby, so dia la yang tolong settlekan urusan mcm ni). cust service tu kata policy kami not exist. Puas bagi IC# semua tetap xde record.
Balik rumah malam tadi, sekali lagi hubby call , bila dah ada policy# pun tak ada record.
Cuak beb!
I ask hubby, if totally dont have record what will you do?
He said, I will talk to their manager, if I need to write in to Bank Negara I will do.
So pagi tadi hubby bawa lah file policy mommy & daddy ke opis.
Pagi2 dia dah call ING, and guess what?

.
Our policy is still there...but its under corporate account, not public... sebab tu cust service yang assist public policy tak boleh tengok. Walaupun kami dah resign dari company lama, tapi record kami masih under corporate, sebab rate kami berbeza...murah dari public. Beli insurance policy under company lebih murah dari you beli walk in at ING agent or centre.
They received our payment every month, the account is active & the yearly statement they sent to our previous company. fuhhhhh
Terus la hubby drop email to change the billing address.
Suspen ajew kan? :P
Lega bila dah tau masih active & exist, kalau tak cuba bayangkan, ai resign from that company since 2009, sekarang dah end 2012, dekat 3 tahun, 200 setiap bulan... kalau tak exist takkan hilang mcm tu ajew?

So moral untuk di kongsi, make sure you buy your insurance policy with someone closed, easy to contact & can be trust. Make sure you received yearly statement. Jangan jadi gelabah macam kami ni :P
